It’s a joyful event that our Pre-K students look forward to all year long. The Pre-K Texan Day Carnival is a festive celebration of Go Texan Day, where students and staff proudly wear Western-style outfits—cowboy and cowgirl boots, hats, jeans, and more—to show their Texas spirit. The carnival begins with a fun parade and features a variety of booths offering games, food, country and Western music, dancing, and more. It’s a day filled with excitement and joy, especially for our DRAW Pre-K students.
When is it?
Go Texan Day is celebrated annually, usually on the last Friday of February. The carnival runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
What activities/booths are at the carnival?
The carnival booths are filled with simple, hands-on games and activities designed just for young children. Every part of the event is thoughtfully planned to help our Pre-K students enjoy the day while learning about and celebrating Texas pride.
Some of the exciting booths include:
Pony Rides, Moon Walk, Painting, Cactus Ring Toss, Petting Zoo, Face Painting, and more!
The carnival is also a wonderful time for younger siblings to participate alongside their parents, many of whom generously volunteer their time to make the event a success.
We hope you enjoy the photos and videos capturing the excitement of our Texan Day Carnival.
We can’t wait to celebrate this beloved tradition with you again next February!
