The School District implements the Internet Safety Policies by filtering the internet content at three different levels, Administration, Teacher, and Student.

Each level has access to needed resources and this access is designed and approved with the participation of teachers, technology department, Board of Directors, and students.

The online filtering is managed by our Watch-Guard Firebox appliance and Internet safety software Safe-Eyes.

The school updated the Appropriate Use Policy modifying, as appropriate and according to the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the need for Internet filtering and policy requirements; Internet safety policies of the Neighborhood Children’s Internet Protection Act (NCIPA) regarding electronic messaging, disclosure of personal information of minors, and unlawful online activities; and the Protecting Children in the 21st Center Act, which adds an additional Internet Safety Policy requirement

The school policy was presented to the Board by the Technology Department, was discussed, revised and approved, under the new guidelines, by the Board of Directors on its quarterly meeting dated February 6th 2012
